Get to know sarah

Sarah Elsing is a writer, yoga teacher, and creative mindfulness expert. Born in Bonn in 1980, her path led her through studies in German, political science, international relations, and journalism. She’s interviewed celebrity artists, writers, musicians, directors and photographers over the years, publishing texts about culture, politics, mindfulness and meditation on platforms like Deutschlandfunk, Spotify’s Wake Up/Wind Down, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Monopol and Die Zeit.

Hands-on positions in editorial offices, newsrooms, galleries, and agencies offered Sarah direct insight into the precarious balance between exhilaration and alienation inherent in navigating the creative process. By delving into these pressures and challenges, she was able to develop strategies to unlock her inner voice. Now, she aspires to help you find yours.

Convinced that creativity can only flow when you are comfortable with and confident in what you’re doing, Sarah started the Creative Flow Space — combining bodywork, meditation, coaching, music, literature, writing, art, nature and beauty to help show others how to form mindful, creative lessons that lead to clarity, peace and strength.

Her approach

  • Professional

Sarah’s approach is steeped in academic study and real-world experience. An avid believer in the process of lifelong learning, she consistently works to integrate the knowledge gleaned from workshops, professional exchanges, and reading. Her study of concepts like psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi’s “flow,” a highly focused state of mental productivity, and Cal Newport’s notion of “deep work” have profoundly inspired the strategies that she implements in her personal work and her creative workshops.

  • Creative & Free

Sarah believes in the beginner's mind – that sometimes we just need to let go of all the knowledge and experience. Her events and retreats always leave room for spontaneity, improvisation and play.

Only in this way can new things emerge. Everything else comes by itself. It always does.

  • Experienced & Empathetic

Sarah has over 25 years of creative experience. Although she focuses on writing, she has always worked closely with graphic designers, architects, artists, illustrators. Her acute sensitivity has enabled her to resonate with other creatives, regardless of their discipline, and to delve into their world.

Mindful communication techniques support her endeavor to create an atmosphere of appreciation, openness and mutual inspiration in the groups that she facilitates. Encouragement is everything.
