Journaling helps to structure your daily life, motivate yourself and activate resources. In this seminar you will find out how to apply this highly successful self-coaching tool in both private and professional contexts in the spirit of "self-directed change."

 

Becoming aware of your current goal will help to develop strategies to actually implement changes in this direction. You will learn how various journaling methods support self-awareness, focus, and clarity, thereby strengthening your self-efficiency. 

 Embedded in eleven days and three online live sessions, you will learn seven concrete journaling concepts and methods (bullet journal, journaling prompts, etc.). You'll find out which of them best fit your personality and how you can easily integrate journaling into your daily life. This challenge is not a competition with others. Rather, the challenge is to engage with the diversity and intensity of the experiments and reflect on their effectiveness for you.

How it works

You will receive a new journaling experiment in a combination of video message and audio message on your smartphone on each of seven evenings. The following day, you have until midnight to complete the experiment. Everything you write, you write for yourself and will not be shared with the group. You can write in any language. Time investment for your writing time per day: about 30 minutes.

who this is for

This is for everybody who wants to explore journaling as a self-coaching tool and establish healthy routines for your creative practice. 

 You don’t need to be a writer or have used journaling before.

 This challenge is specially designed for writers, artists, designers, illustrators, architects, photographers and creatives of all kinds, including those who say “I’m not an artist.” (If you are working on a creative project, you’re an artist.)

Time: 9:00-17:30(full day)

Place: The workshops will take place online via Zoom. Zoom link and all further information will follow by email the day before the workshop starts.

Challenge cadence: Kick Off Workshop (via zoom) as an introduction to journaling, Halftime meeting, Wrap up session (via zoom) for questions, further theory input and sharing of results and experiences

Language: English and German depending on the needs of the group. Texts can be written in any language.

Participation requirement: Smartphone and access to WhatsApp

Other:  In addition to the above, you’ll receive a personal mail contact with the instructor for questions about the experiments, silent habit-tracking via WhatsApp group
